What We Collect

• Apple ID — A unique identifier when you sign in. Name and email are optional.
• Book content — Text extracted from PDFs you upload, stored so the app can answer your questions.
• Voice queries — Audio recorded briefly when you ask a question, sent to OpenAI for transcription, then discarded. We do not store recordings.
• Session tokens — Stored on your device to keep you signed in.

What We Don't Collect

• Audio files after transcription
• Location data
• Advertising or tracking data
• Anything sold or shared with third parties

Third-Party Services

• Apple Sign In — Authentication
• OpenAI — Voice transcription and question answering. Subject to OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
• RevenueCat — Subscriptions. Subject to RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
• Railway / Neon — Hosting and database

Data Retention

Your data is retained until you request deletion. To delete your account, contact us below.

Children

Book Reading Assistant is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date above reflects the latest version.
